Happy Wars with a big boy set of paint

Honestly im kinda excited for the game because I used to play happy wars quite a bit when I was younger. Now will this game be P2W 100%. Happy Wars was P2W as well so im sure this one which seems to play very similar to happy wars will also be P2W however despite the p2w I still did enjoy the game and with this newer artstyle im sure it will attract more people then happy wars did. Just don't take the game too seriously or else you will piss yourself off.

UPDATE: As of right now there is nothing p2w except xp boosters if you include that. There is a shop but any weapons or armor you can purchase is only from the INGAME currency gained from playing. There is however a secondary currency that you can buy AND a battlepass but so far its mostly cosmetic. Not saying that it will stay this way but right now its good

Happy Wars existed in a different time (a decade ago) when P2W was more tolerated. No one knows if Warlander will end up being the same way, but I doubt it. P2W is still common in parts of Asia, but this is a global release.

i didn't play happy wars enough and i didn't know it was p2w. as you said they took the same formula and changed the graphics, and it will be free to play as well, likely standard f2p model which is p2w. add to this yet another dubious anti-cheat and it's a big meh

would you say that p2w is LESS tolerated now? i feel like if anything players are more accustomed to being nickel-and-dimed than ever before; look at FIFA, NBA 2K, etc. Not that i'm suggesting Warlander will be like that, but i wouldn't put it past them.

xp boosters are pay to win too

XP boosters aren't pay to win in a slightest unless game has a character leveling straight from MOBA games.
Account wide XP being gained faster than others isn't p2w, it never was, even when first mentions of it popped up in early-mid 2000's.
It was always seen as "pay to progress", so who cares.

P2W was and always was something that gave you straight up advantages over others and said advantages couldn't be gained in a "free" way no matter what you tried.

Everyone has a different view on p2w and the term never really had any hard clear description.

And yes reaching end of the progression track can be seen as some as winning and then xp boosters are clearly paying to win if someone is in that camp. And as long as account level does't influence your direct power in a match I don't fall in that camp.

As for me I can't be bothered with what they all sell in their shop as long as it is not directly influencing power during a match. They need to make money somehow to keep the lights on and the servers online, and yes that still cost a pretty penny, even when it got cheaper then ever.

Neither Did I i only saw some gameplay of it and realized it played alot like happy wars and then I went to see who made it and then boom same people
