And you are correct, it currently doesn't work, because the plugin/mod-loader for unity games the fix uses doesn't seem to work with this game atm. Seems to be a fairly recent issue.
Once the fix is working again, with some tinkering, it's probably also possible to get it to work on your Steam Deck to remove the letterboxing at the top and bottom, since it's a 16:10 screen. Might not be worth the trouble though, since it doesn't seem to bother you.
So you just gotta be patient, unless there's another way to make it work in ultrawide. Maybe there's a plugin somewhere for "Flawless Widescreen", but i wouldn't get my hopes up.
As a sidenote for future troubleshooting: It might be helpful to put the full resolution, the term "ultrawide" and/or "21:9" in your titles as well, when making posts like these. Most people will just assume you mean 2560x1440p/16:9, which is what "1440p" standalone usually refers to.
Thanks for the info!
I was just referring to standard 1440p (16:9) and centered/letterboxed like it currently does in 1080p when presented on ultrawide. I'm OK with the letterboxing, I just wish I could get the higher res. Oh well! Not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things.
Odd. Mine doesn't even offer it. I tried upscaling but that doesn't work either.
