Is there gameplay asides from walking and choosing dialouge options?
Hello I'm not assuming something because I wanna be mean, the game has a very interesting premise and what I've seen so far: a praised narrative. I have no doubt that it might intrique me.

However I wonder if it also is a good "videogame" when it comes to utilizing the mediums possibilities, it doesn't need be "challenging" in a classical sense, just something that pulls you in the story, makes your mind work. Puzzles, deduction? Pure Visual Novels are like potatos to me I can't enjoy them pure. I need some kind of "alibi gameplay" that is still interesting/clever like in Phoenix Wright or Danganronpa.

So it's fair to say it's not mechanics heavy but it's not just reading.

Probably the best thing to do to get an idea of how it plays is to watch the launch stream as that's the first 2 hours of the game

There are some puzzles, but they definitely aren't the focus. It does require you to think from time to time at least.

The games has puzzles and requires deduction. And it's narrative it's not just something to freely grasps, it requires active thinking from the player.

It's got an interesting mechanic where you can shift freely between different time periods, so you're exploring the same space from different eras. Paths in are blocked in one era and open in another, so you need to jump back and forth to traverse.

I haven't played much to know how fully they explore this mechanic, but I think it's nice - not exactly a challenge, but it means that you're needing to engage mechanically to progress (not just walk from A to B), and it also has a neat effect of forcing you, as the player, to create your own flashback/flashforward style narrative because as you shift around for movement purposes, you're seeing scenes from the different eras.

I too don't really like a pure visual novel that's just walking and story, but this has enough mechanical "meat" to keep me interested.
