Report a translation problem
Platform: Windows
Build version (found in the settings menu in the lower right corner): I can't move past the main menu so idk
Your Hardware Specifications: Intel i7, 16 GB, GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q
Controller Type (KBM, DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox 360, Xbox Series X, etc.): Keyboard and mouse
Reproduction Steps: Launch the game
Thanks for reporting this and I'm so sorry this is happening.
May I ask, do you have any other hardware accessories connected to your computer, especially those that could be considered inputs? A drawing tablet, a joystick, etc? If so, could you try unplugging those and booting up the game and seeing it that solves the issue? That would be really helpful to understanding what may be the root of this problem!
I came to report this same problem, with no connected devices.
No other external input devices apart from a mouse.
FWIW, I was originally using an external monitor and keyboard with my laptop. I have now tried without the external monitor and keyboard and the result is still the same.
Hmmm. Okay, this is very mysterious. We're going to have to try and solve this problem together and do some detective work!
Can you give me a bit more information on the computer your using? For example, laptop model, mouse model, Windows version (7, 8, 10, 11).
Is your mouse wired or wireless? Anything you can think of that may be slightly different in your set up that you've become accustomed to.
If you happen to have a controller around, could you try plugging it in and seeing if it works?
I know it's a lot, but want to make the best effort here to solve the issue :)
I Figured it out - you just need to configure the controller through Steam (the controller button beside the settings on the game tab.)
That's a good step forward!!
By chance, does your laptop have touch screen features? And if so, could you try disabling them as an input?
I do, I have a touchscreen on the laptop. I went on the Device Manager and disabled it and everything works perfectly now. Thanks!
(find it under Human interface Devices for anyone else reading)
Thanks, Jason, for sticking on and moving through this with us.
Xenonym, let us know if this is your case too?
We'll make a ticket on our end to resolve touch screen inputs in a future patch!
Yeah, disabling the touch screen resolves the problem! :D
During time warps between stage 10 [Alive] and -22 [Video](when the Iris's parents are recording a video) its possible to warp inside the closed parents bedroom (if you were staying closer to the door in Stage 10), which confuesd me as I didnt realize what i had to do inside that closed room for a solid minute.
Also in the stage -20 [Martyr] it was really hard to find the way out of the initial dark room, that segment would greatly benefit from some small guiding light for the door/hallway
Great suggestions -- we will take a look at these!
I'm not entirely sure the Character Momentum option is doing anything? I feel like there's a large amount of momentum in moving the control from one direction to another no matter if it's on or off.
I obviously can't show my inputs here, but I'm making some pretty sharp movements on the control stick and the character seems to respond with the same amount of momentum/not turning immediately no matter the option.
