Spanish translation?
I love how the game looks, but to fully enjoy it I like to do it in my language, does Spanish have any options?

Thanks! The game is English only for now, we hope it sells well enough that we can re-invest in it to bring it to a larger audience, including additional languages, voice acting, and consoles.

well I know from other developers that it works the other way round.
What does it look like, can the community translate everything or was it never meant to be?

I tried the demo, I like the game, unfortunately it needed a precisely dominion of the english, and I'm spanish native.

I would like to buy the game if it had a spanish translation.

Nunca he entendido lo de, si vendemos suficiente traduciremos....si no traduces el juego a mas idiomas mucha de esa gente no lo va a comprar.... con lo cual es el pez que se muerde la cola y al final pasa que si en este tipo de juegos, el idioma es muy importante, acabas no comprandolo...

It's about not having infinite money. The game is 420,000 words, so it would cost on average $63,000 USD per language to translate. Depending on regional pricing for the region we're translating for that's something like ~10,000 copies sold to pay for each translation on average.

Let's say we translated the game to Simplified Chinese, Russian, German, Polish, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese. Reasonable to maximize the potential audience size and focus on larger gaming populations where we think it's reasonable to sell that many copies. That's $63,000 * 9 languages = $567,000. Not an insignificant amount of money and not something we just have lying around.

Are you going to write me a cheque for $63,000 so I can pay someone to do the Spanish localization? If not then it's going to take us some time to earn that much from English sales and reinvest it in to growing the audience.

The game is far from dead. It's already sold thousands of copies and continues to sell more copies and earn more wishlists every day. Video games generally continue to sell copies for years after release. Just because we didn't sell a million copies the first day doesn't mean it's a "dead game."

Mucha suerte, me encantaría que llegase al español si fuera posible. También cabe la posibilidad de que los fans hagan una traducción.

I just saw this thread, and let me tell you that there is another much cheaper option to get a professional result... (you don't need to spend such a big number) and that is, to count with a freelancer like me! Hi! I'm an experienced native translator and I'd love to help you. This way we can include the Spanish language and attract the attention of many players that will buy your game!

Plus, I've already worked on a visual novel and the total word count of 420,000 doesn't scare me -I can do it!

couldn't be the option to do a crowfounding for each language? or pay and additional ammount for that language, if i have to pay something more to have the translation it would be fine by me, the point of buy it and we might translate it, if that is just that a promise, is imposible to know if that is going to really happen, maybe the company get the money and just translate it in another language or maybe they just simple dont translate it never, with a crowfounding is a compromise and also we can see if the problem is that there are not enought people who want the language, and if is that, we couldnt blame the company and just buy it as it is.

Well... if they had worked with foresight and integrated the language into the game so that it could be easily translated, the community could have replaced it a long time ago with the help of the AI...

How much per language is 10,000 x 0 ?
