Was about to buy but...
I head everything has a "range"... seriously this range BS is what ruins every citybuilder for me... is that necessary for gameplay? no but lets add it anyways.... wow, no thanks...

Hey, I understand it but you habe to manage something. Range is something which gives you some layer of planning. In our game you can set up very long range of working but it's just limited to sum of building it xab wotk it so I think it is still kinda unique. You can always give it a try and just return it if you don't like it.

Ill give it a try but isn´t managing food, money, population, wars etc enough to manage? Why would I have to worry about range unless the map is so huge that it makes sense to naturally force me to worry about it?

Well, by adding working area we were trying to add something unique and interesting to the game. In Feudal Baron it is something natural, showing that each building and each worker can support only limited amount of buildings.

I feel like this has to come about naturally due to distance and/or amount of goods aviable... its like with the markets in ANNO, i never liked that game because of the set range of markets... as if people arent willing to walk a few meters to get food in the 1800´s

I understand your point of view. As i said before it wasn't just to make game artifically harder. Game is no released in EA but still we are here to listen our players and we are open to address ideas and suggestions.

ye athis range mechanic is a big pain in ass, anno series has still nice management but without this annoying system

After watching vids, I have to agree. My reluctance is based on the presence of this mechanic.

There are just some things that go outside my gaming vision and they prevent me from even trying them. For example:

As popular as it is.. Timberborn has a district mechanic that limits range. So I didn't buy it. Same goes for Civilisation VI.

I prefer games that let me build and sit back and marvel at the development without distance constraints. Such as: Ostriv, City Skylines, and the like.

Perhaps the Dev could make this part an option at game start.

I hate that so much about Timberborn! What a great game it could have been without that.

There are various reasons for adding area restictions and ranges in the games. In most cases it is a matter of layout planning and efficiency of logistics. In our case it is about woerkers performance - tasks like moving resources are done by their hands so you have to limit working zone for them to an area which could be supplied by 1 or 2 building workers. In City Skylines there are ranges and limits but instead of total disabling its work it's more about some penalties and bonuses.

But if you don't like ranges in such games you may like our upcoming game https://store.steampowered.com/app/2446660/Dragonscale_Monastery/ . Fresh demo of it is available. There are ranges only in few cases like access to a resource for mining type buildings.

"For the price the game is absolutely fine" - I agree, i suggest that with the money earned the developers buy some 5-10 years old city builder games and play them. Yust use the auto range system from other games. Its simple and tested by millions. Focus more on game content, like maybe a well? Carrots? Were you playing timberborn and said "yea we should put a carrot farm in the game". How about vegetables?

Why are you making another game: Experience unique survival city-builder in the world of Dragonscale Monastery. You could yust add it to this game. I'm curently producing 10 bells a minute, that Monastery would have like 200 of them. Or i could yust strap a bell to a Dragon?...

Its a good idea for a game, and some will play it, but its in alpha stage for a real player.
Like monika.ciurcina said "I'm looking forward to the next one".

"Feudal Baron is just a new experiance for City Builders and medieval ages fans" - True story, with 50+ new City Builders games every year, it realy is a new experiance
