Releasing the game now is the worst decision

Juste after New World and just before the bulldozer FFXIV Endwalker.
Terrible Idea, there are a lot of people including some friend of mine who wanted to play Elyon but they started New World so they wont play it and a lot of who are waiting for FFXIV in one month and dont want to invest themself in an other MMO till then...

New world is on the decline. New world is a 10000% different game and likely wont appeal to korean f2p crowd, who are upset over mounts and costumes in a cash shop, are not paying $40 for a game in general.

Lost ark got pushed back. Really its just going to be Guild Wars 2 expansion in feb and endwalkers competing, both youll have to pay to enjoy so scratch out just about all of this games community for those games.

IMO it was a great time to launch.

To each game their own players i guess, i'm waiting for endwalker to come out and tried new world, but it's definitely not my cup of tea.

Timing is bad tho, but i guess they couldn't have released it sooner because peoples would have yeeted it when new world released or later because lot's of peoples will play endwalker (or new world, or both) and forget about elyon.

I don't think they could've launched any time later then they already have tbh. The game is a dated UE3 dinosaur and the longer they hold out releasing it the worse it will appear. I just see it going the way of Bless tbh.

As for New World and FFXIV I personally don't like either. FFXIV was too slow for me and New World's combat was not my style and seemed rather boring but my gaming buddies and my nephews just love New World.

I was hoping Elyon would have similar combat to Tera so I could have an MMO to play but it doesn't even compare imo so I'm still left without an MMO. :(

Well pvp players wont play finalfantasy. i myself doesnt like finalfantasy combat at all im gonna stick with elyon ;()

Elyon has better gameplay and pvp combat then new world by light years.. and its free.. its a pvp game, and Devs never said otherwise. so i dont know why people crying about pvp.. the game is built around it.. people who like pvp dont like FF14 so ye.. and people who like good combat dont play NW. so Elyon has a good chance on holding players.

It is better than their initial release date which overlapped with the new world. And you do realize they changed from B2P to F2P right? Because of the new world?

I played NW, got to 60, was fun, once 60 tho, I got bored real fast, I havent logged in for 2 days now,
FF14 isnt really my thing, even tho I have played it, and will prob do so in the future again, but it's not super high on my list, so I'm fine with this, even when I'm not able to log in right now...

Not really. Played 20 hours New World and deleted it. I'm sure your friends will give up too. It's not even a mmorpg. Copy paste towns, mobs, areas, not enough pvp-pve content etc. Even this f2p, humble game better than Amazon's "BIG" project.

Elyon = PvP MMORPG. Stop giving advices that nobody asks for. Kakao is the 3rd richest company in S-KR dude...

Uh....did you even play Tera...this combat is almost the same with slight differences...

IMO melee doesnt feel as good as Tera, Range and magic do however.

I think the big difference is how the mobs react, they seem much harder to kite, which was stupid easy to do in Tera.

NW= pvp game without pvp
Elyon=pve and pvp with nice combat elyon wins nw is trash get over it
