How do you separate tracks when you enter freeform?

I made a tank, then decided I want to make it's hull more complicated. Then I made a second version, supposed to be bigger and heavier, and I can't find out how to separate the tracks.

Either I forgot or it's not possible.

there is a "fit to chassis" checkbox you have to uncheck. then separations and other parameters will be shown like before.

where is this checkbox you speak of?

I found it, nevermind. It's called 'sync to chassis' and it's located under the general tab when selecting any part of the treads and wheels. Thank you.
