How do I turn turrets into casemates?
In previous versions of Sprocket, the "Base" menu included a box one could check to turn a turret into a fixed casemate on the hull, merging them together in the process. This enabled players to construct turretless vehicles like the Ikv 103 and the ISU-122. However, I haven't been able to find this feature since the update to Ver. 0.115.

Is this feature still in the game, and there's just some sort of keybinding now instead of a box to check? I sure hope so, because I can't figure out how to build turretless tanks now, and I can't make adjustments to the armor thickness on any of my existing designs (which now all seem to have only 5mm of armor on all sides).

hmm.... u gotta extrude a part from the hull, or simply add a turret, make its torque zero, then move it by using the vertical axis to the hull, drag it down so it looks like a fixed turret

As far as I had seen (and currently figuring it out) I cant see the feature anywhere, in the process it also made my previous SPG built that way unusable now

I tried that, but it didn't turn the turret into a "fixed turret" (i.e., a casemate). You also can't reduce the turret torque to zero.

I made lots of vehicles without turrets in sprocket prior to Ver. 0.115, but they're all unusable now. The game no longer recognizes the concept of a "fixed turret".
there is a way tho, i forgot how

you have to use the freeform turret creator to extrude the faces and edges for turret-less vehicles,

its rather involved, you have to manually split the edges to get more surfaces to work with, and then you can merge them im pretty sure.

its been removed, you gotta use freeform now

how do you make new points in the hull though?

go to edges and press j, then go back to points

what i did was i made a very small turret, but also some of the mantlets support azimuth rotation. i know this is an old post but i didnt see a solution in here.

And it's still relevant today.
