Tanks can only exceed trenches that are about 40% of their hull length (to be exact, touch-down length of track). The trench on No Tank's land is probably 3m wide. Therefore, tanks must have a body length of at least 7m.
Next, the car body should be as light as possible. In my case, I kept the tank height low, fixed the turret, made the top and bottom armor as thin as possible, reduce fuel, and made the road wheels thin double wheels. The torsion bar of the suspension is also short and fine. This also helps to cross over the trenches.
Finally, speed ... This depends only on the adjustment of the transmission. Find a gear ratio that keeps the engine running at the highest possible RPM (but do not into the red zone).
If you want to do it smarter, you can calculate the peripheral speed of the sprocket. this is where Excel comes in.

3t, 2 crew, the driver is basically wearing the hull. 50mm gun despite what the name says.
And, repeatedly victorious!

Shown this before, but possibly not with dimensions. WW1 tanks do not need to be large, just slightly large.

Try to use the riveted panels to get that look of added armor layer that it has on the front, the turret I think has too much angle to it, they made em flat 90°. Also your roadwheels need some work, make them interleaved and adjust them to the track width.
A22 Churchill MK.III w. Ordnance QF 75mm MK.V Gun
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600041081
The only publishable historical replica I've done. All values are as close to historical Churchill as the game allows.
And here are some headcannon vehicles I have made. The bright green are early Cold War US inspired vehicles with tech such as early IRs, etc. Olive/dark green are belonging to the religious nation rich on natural resources but lacking the tech and relying on "the bigger the better" formula.
AT21 Dagger
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600040993
Airborne light recon tank with 40mm quickfire gun for airborne infantry support.
AT21b Balisong
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600040886
Upgunned version of the Dagger with 80mm gun, rearranged interior and advanced recon gear (commander's IR vision and stereoscopic rangefinder).
AT31 Fang
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600040806
Conventional light tank for breaktrough exploitation and flank defence of larger vehicles. Equipped with long version of the 80mm gun.
AT52 Jackal
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600040716
A tank destroyer based on the Fang's chassis, carrying 105mm gun. It's role is to get heavier guns using lighter chassis to areas that are harder to reach for heavier vehicles.
AT59 Mastiff
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600040645
First iteration of heavy tank destroyer to directly combat heavies opposing force vehicles. To do so this destroyer is carries 135mm gun and up to 300mm of effective frontal armor.
AT59 .165 Bullmastiff
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600040580
As opposing force presented heavier designs of their own, a request for upgunned Mastiff was proposed. The result is AT59 .165, nicknamed by it's crews as Bullmastiff. As the name suggests, the carried gun's caliber is 165mm. The superstructure was moved backwards for better weight distribution. Original hull had to be prolonged and additional roadwheel had to be added to aleviate increased ground pressure due it's weight of over 80 tons.
Type 5
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600040467
A relic from old times, armed with 40mm field gun in fixed casemate. The vehicle was optimized to successfully finish a mission now known only as "No tank's land".
Type 13.1
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600040258
Type 13s were interwar light weight tankettes carrying a measly 20mm gun. With the current need for every combat ready vehicle, the Type 13 reserves had been activated for full duty. Crews often made individual modifications to keep some combat abilities even to these days. Common mods were engine swaps, upgunning, suspension tuning and additional bolted on armor plates coming from various sources such as salvaged vehicles, boiler plates etc.
While command never fully approved such mods, they were silently tolerated becaue the command never had full control to enforce orders to keep vehicles stock and also to keep the morale. So generally these modified vehicles are named as Type 13.1 but they never followed any official standards.
Today most of these tankettes are used as firepower multiplier, mobile pillboxes, recon/artillery directing or simply as towing vehicles for larger field guns.
Type 44 Ferox
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600040177
First successful convetional tank weighing 36 tons, carrying 85mm field gun modified to fit in to fully rotational turret. The vehicle lacks advanced tech for it's time of deployment but 140mm frontal armor was capable withstanding contemporary threats, it got obsolete quite soon. This led crews to using ad-hoc field modifications, such is bolted armor plates or using abundance of spare track links. Ferox means Fierce.
Type 44.1 Robustus
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600040087
Robustus is late adaptation of Ferox' chassis to mount larger gun. Armor values are same as on Ferox but the 125mm gun posses a way larger threat while keeping similar mobility. As per usual, the armor had been reinforced by various means. Robustus means Sturdy.
Type 103 Audax
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600039977
Audax is basically upscaled Ferox, bringing heavier armor and larger gun to the field in order to break stalemates and heavy lines of defenses. Audax was also the reason for development of AT59 Mastiff as it's frontal effective armor reaches up to 400mm and it's 120mm gun is a potent threat. Audax means Bold.
Type 103.1 Fortis
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600039864
A heavy breakthrough vehicle based on Audax chassis. The superstructure's frontal armor is 265mm thick and carries large 135mm gun. The superstructure also has small machine gun turret and three another machinegun emplacements for side and rear protection.

As you can see the sides of the rear are a bit wonky due to the designer limitations, and some of the angles might be slightly off, but overall I am happy with it so far. The turret needs a bit of reshaping as well. Also you can use the riveted panel from the utilities to get that rivet design without using the massive riveted panels from the fenders page which is what I did to the front to replicate the additional armor
Also, if you want to keep your tank down to more manageable and sleeker proportions the.. umm... "sleds" (I don't recall the exact term) that you can attach to the tank, work well for providing extra length to the back for the purpose of not sliding into the trench. From there it's a matter of maintaining the speed and balance in the rest of the tank to keep your momentum moving forward.

Pros: low profile, decently quick, 475hp, comes in 75mmx1.00 and 88mmx0.75
Cons: lower front strip kinda thin, not great on hills, medium reload time, doesn't like rough terrain
I need to work on the transmission a little bit, which would probably fix my hill issue, doing some track would fix the terrain issue as well but she can kill Panthers in the sandbox arena so so far I'm happy.
Second is my favorite so far. My buffed out not 100% to scale Jagdpanther....

Its an 88mm gun but I wasn't quite feeling the mantlet but its the biggest and the best choice for what I was going for.
I took on the King Tiger on Crossroads (?) 5 times, each time the JP kept taking front hit after front hit until the KT and I were muzzle to muzzle. When I say its buffed its not CRAZY OP just 85-90mm of armor almost all the way around.
