Consider installing a bigger mantlet, and making your gun lighter. This is usually because the elevation mechanism is overloaded by gun weight.

There are more factors limitating gun elevation than it seems. Biggest culprit is usually gun too heavy and gun motor too weak. Try increasing the gun motor power but be aware, it takes lot of space. You may also consider rebalacing your gun, perhaps it's too tip heavy so make it thinner by the end but thicker at the beginning.

The size of your elevation motor can be limited by the time period of a scenario, too. You might be forced to design a smaller gun because the motor that can lift anything larger "hasn't been invented yet."

I can't elevate my gun too, but i am not dumb i tried everything, i cant even elevate 30mm cannon on medium mantlet. And guess what? I cant elevate cannons on any other pre made tanks too :(

increase the torque and if that doesnt work then your gun is just too heavy. you would need to get a bigger mantlet if your gun is too heavy
I find that messing with the ticccccccness of your barrel (and base) helps a ton. it's a matter of balance. So making a longer and/or thicker gun could solve the issue. Alternatively, if your barrel is too heavy, you may need to increase the length of your shell. This makes the breach in the tank heavier, thus balancing the barrel better. So making these bits heavier or smaller helps a ton. And, of course using the best engine you can for elevating helps a ton.

watch your "elevation rate" value under cannon. if it's 0 or negative that means it's too inbalanced and can't be elevated.

WW1 elevation mechanisms are pain - that how life was. You can't get decent erection until late-WW2.

I know these things, i think its just some bug. I can make the smolest, the thinnest pp gun with the biggest mantlet and the most torgue and my elevation is still negative :( i cant even play

You need to balance Gun base length with barrel length. There is small blue line where gun is mounted, if you see that line it means gun is out of balance. Look at that line and on elevation speed. Small gun moves faster than a big one but they all need to be equal mass at their pivot point. Same goes for turret armour, if turret is front heavy mechanism struggles to rotate it. Balance is an answer.

It's not a bug, it's the weight of the breech in the tank. To elevate or depress the gun you need to apply force to turn the mantlet up or down. The more unbalanced it is, the harder it is to raise or depress the gun. Tiny barrel but long shell means that you have a big breech in the tank, but no weight outside of the tank. Think the difference between a see-saw and just trying to heft an entire fridge.

just look at the blue line on the cannon, if you can see it then it isn't balanced

Having same issue even when using the preloaded tanks like panther.

it doesn't move at all. no matter how tiny barrel is, how much counterweight is there, or anything. Tank info shows elevation change speed and everything, in game it doesnt move even 1/100th of a degree. It's clearly a bug.

its not do you see a blue line near the base of your gun?
