Shifting gears: Keybind?
There I am... feeling it again...
That moment where everyone talks about something like they know it inside-out, only I have no idea what that something is.

I have been looking left and right, watched videos, checked Steam discussions, haven't figured it out. Call me stupid, and that's a fact.
I load the Centurion into sandbox, it shifts gears automatically.
I load the same tank in "No Tank's Land" mission, it's stuck in first gear.

Please put me out of my mental misery and tell me, like you're telling a 5-year-old... how do you manually switch gears?

Thank you...

Also curious! I didn't even know you could shift manually. Must have finished the first map in 1st gear haha

There is no way to manually operate the gears. All are automatic.
This is not a bad thing. Because manual transmission tanks are one of the most stressful machines in the world to operate. Let's be satisfied with the racing game.

Also, Centurion is stuck in No Tank's Land because the era are different. Since the performance of the engine and transmission is limited, no power can be output.
You can ignore this limitation by enabling the Settings cheat. It should be, but it doesn't seem to work ...

Ah, so it was simply a case of choosing the wrong scenario.
Man, I was about to go insane trying to figure it out :)

For each tank there is an associated era defined when creating the tank. If you use a tank built in midwar for a WW1 scenario, the scenario technology being inferior, your tank will perform much less well.
