If there was a Remake or Reboot
If there was a Remake or Reboot of this game
what would make this game better?

I would say do something like Dying Light and Dead Island.
different characters with leveling up abilities and have coop in the story campaign.
and maybe able to turn into the creatures.
Like the Werewolf , a human size Golem and a Minotaur.
or something like gain the powers and abilities and likeness of those creatures
as a super form mode.

It's a neat game in many ways, with the mythic creatures and all. I still think about it often also!

yeah it's a nice concept.
theres to many multiplayer games with zombies already
something like left 4 dead, and dead island, and state of decay like gameplay
but with this kinda theme. or any other kind a monster theme, besides zombies,
It be more interesting.

Or something like
Raw Danger meets Evil Within

With the monsters/creatures being Trevor Henderson and Junji Ito like designs.

A remake would be the best choice I think. The game has so much potential, with some tweaks in the story to make it more interesting for the player ( like adding a prolog or epilogue) would be a big step forward. Side missions could also be a factor in the growth of the remake. Multiplayer also but I dont think that would function pretty well. It´s the first fps game I ever played with greek mythological creatures and it really gave me inspiration. I would give money for a game like that even over 100$.

These are very good Ideas, a Skill Tree would also be awesome if we are talking about the rpg feeling and also more guns with modifications and stuff. More greek creatures and a longer more interesting story, I think this game has potential for a rememberable story

Yeah thanks

I also like the concept of Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard.
A concept where all video games get mixed and matched together,
It had potential too, but it was abit to generic and to focus on the modern stuff
then showing anything retro.
as there's not enough retro levels, like ps1/n64 style stages,
everyone looks like they're from the same game just cosplaying as different character.
Mostly PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale had more different character designs
that all of them you know they're from another game.
Also the game didn't have enough enemy types,
as they only have humanoids with guns only and slow zombies,
no flying enemies types or weak rush enemies types.

Also the game needed weapons something like
Saints row 3 weapons mixed with Ratchet and clank weapons
and with a upgrade system that you start as a generic modern shooter
only able to carry 2 weapons, but later get upgrades to carry 3 to 6 to 8 weapons.
But slowly become powerful having retro and modern gameplay abilities and skills

And they can make the game play change up too
as the 3rd person is the main focus but few levels or moments the game becomes
like a Contra clone and maybe a R-type clone. something like that
for a game with that kinda theme concept.

Fighters Megamix would be a good one.
It was a sega saturn fighting game with a mix
of almost all sega's fighting games series mixed together.

But I think they could done it better and have more fighters
Fighters Megamix needed a remake or a sequel.

But they should add in
Ryo and Lan-di from Shenmue.
Kiryu and Majima from the Yakuza game series.
Axel, Blaze, Adam, Max and Shiva from the Streets of Rage series. (Maybe Roo as a unlockable)
Ax Battler,Tyris Flare, Gilius Thunderhead and Death Bringer from Golden Axe.
Centurion (Werewolf form) and Neff (Rhino form) from Altered beast.

If there were to be a reboot, I'd like to see the monsters vary by geography. Some monsters might be everywhere, but others may be region-specific, or have regional variants. The cut scene pictures with golems in Egypt being made from pyramid stones are one example of a regional variant. Gryphons could be different in the USA vs Asia.

I would begin the game by picking up where the original left off, with the box being destroyed and Deckard escaping. The game would still be played from Deckard's perspective, with you learning new animus abilities - one of which being able to "charm" certain creatures, like in the ending scene with the gryphon. This would allow you to utilize monsters in combat against other monsters, and against human forces. You could start out with learning how to charm one monster, then two, then three as you progress. There might be other abilities such as making yourself be seen as a "non-hazard" to monsters - not charming them but not being attacked by them, which would cost less animus and would be time based. This would allow you to slip past monsters that might be controlled by an animus device. You might also be able to "tag" an enemy with animus to make it attract monsters.

As for the objective of the game, with the destruction of Pandora's box, the monsters are now uncontrolled and running rampant. The Council will have been proven wrong - there's no way to put the creatures back or build a new box that was identical to the first. They end trying to building a new box which would figure in later in the game but act much differently. Around the world would be several animus "hot spots" - vortexes where the animus is running wild and causing the creatures to be destructive. These would be in various localles - South American jungle, Antarctica (Lovecraftian Mountaings of Madness), an underwater abyss where you have to go diving in some high tech scuba gear only to discover Atlantis, the deserts in Egypt, Japan's Mount Fugi, including a volcanic section inside the mountain. In order to "set things right" you have to rebalance the animus and close these vortexes. Once this is accomplished you will have set things back to how they were BEFORE the box was made and the creatures cease being berserk. Along the way you discover that the box was made to enslave these creatures and harness the animus for evil purposes. By closing each vortex you'd be given a flashback to ancient times, showing the creatures living in peace as part of the normal world, with animus being the fuel for ancient "magic", and eventually being shown how the box was made, the disastrous results of man trying to control and weaponize animus, and why the box and key were eventually hidden away. Once you "fix" things you would take your place as the guardian of these creatures and the animus.

Of course, it won't be that simple. The Council of 98 and the remnants of the Black Order will have allied against you, and at a certain point you'll start to encounter "altered" creatures that have some kind of animus tech derived from Pandora's Box controlling them. These mutants won't be tamable, so you'll have to use your guns, wits, animus, and mythological creatures to fight these abominations. The end boss fight would have to involve the Council of 98 utilizing some kind of enormous monster/cybernetic hybrid that's controlled by a new Pandora's Box and which can summon in other corrupted creatures to fight along side it. This would be guarding the last portal, and naturally would be under Lexington's direct control. Kill this creature and you'd have a cut scene with a badly injured Lexington explaining his motives and how he was "just trying to save mankind" - right before you put a bullet in his skull for the trouble.

That would be my idea anyway.

Damn, I love your idea and also the story, I would also love to if I could take part in making the second or the remade version of Legendary. Your idea could be for real, game changing.

Instead why not buy the rights to the game and hire a game company to make it for you and try setting up a gofundmepage or something
Phoenix Jul 30, 2021 @ 8:03pm
Well that would be nice if time and money were not issues. A Gofundme wouldn't work - have to own the intellectual property rights first, otherwise you could get a C&D order from whoever does own the rights. As for hiring a game company... eh, that's not the same as maintaining direct control over your idea. The only successful crowd-sourced large game I'm aware of is Star Citizen, and it's kind of in its own special version of development hell.

Besides, I'm a bird. Who would want to take orders from a bird? My last development team didn't really stay together so well. :fuglsad:
