Is it just me, or is it way too easy to "finish" builds, and are there skills missing from parts?
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I don't have to spend 50 hours grinding out the various parts to get to the insane levels of damage output that was GB3, but it feels like a couple of Survival clears, and I can max a part, with both rarity and levels to 50, with all the skills I want for it to level 25+

On a second note, have people noticed that it seems certain skills are locked behind certain parts? Like, I can't find Funnel boost on ANYTHING except backpack I think. I've been looking, and I can't find it on anything except a singular part. Feels like either certain skills are locked to certain "slots", or their so rare that your going to be grinding for weeks to get one.

Problem is getting specific abilities, finding them, and leveling them up. For example:
Cooldown reduction: enemy destroyed (or something) on ranged weapons is pretty rare. Just to get one, I need to clear a few missions.
Then I need to actually find it in hundreds of parts.
And then if I want to level it to 30, not only I need to repeat the process, but then I still need to find it in hundreds of parts, because you can't just batch-synthesize fodders to a 50 level weapon, it will ask you for confirmation EVERY SINGLE TIME. ON EVERY SINGLE PART.
So nah, it's not easy to "finish" builds, it's easy to half-ass them, I aint burrowing through hundreds of parts to level up my cool down skill past level 8, it's just not happening, I can't care enough.

I mean, you technically can to just do green or below, but I get it. *shrug*

No you can't.
If your target part is level 50, it will start asking for confirmation on low -rarity- level parts too. It WILL NOT select all if you press select all button.
You can't shrug it off either, it actively blocks you from leveling abilities, unless you're willing to just sit in menu for hours.

That's....weird? Because I can select all parts and it auto ques ALL 3 star rarities and below, allowing me to Synth without having to manually select each one,

I've only seen it do that if the part is not yet 50 pre-Gousei, but if it's already 50 and you're doing it then it doesn't. The only time you should be seeing the problem of it not auto-selecting 3 star or below is with parts that are "combo" parts like Victory's Left Arm with the shield, or of course parts that are in a blueprint or labeled, and the latter you almost never want to use up anyway.

You can max out even faster if you just play newtype missions when they unlock. You can clear them at level 30 by using attacks that cause parts loss and abusing Ground-breaks. It's WAY too easy to max out stuff given how little content there is in the game as far as actual "Gameplay" goes.

I have a full-maxed kit built, and that took about....30 hours TOTAL to reach? Now that I'm at that point (Beating story mode, beating every single quest on newtype,) the only thing left is so farm a few more of the drop-only parts.

As for the parts locked behind skills, you can effectively "skip" that by just max-rarity ranking a part (STUPIDLY easy to do) and you'll permanently unlock the skill for use, even if you take off the part.

But yeah, a lot of skills are locked to specific parts, however many of the skills are identical outside of graphical changes, like all of the EX-installs just boost movement speed.

You can get every part in the game after about 10 hours if we're talking about the specifically "Drop only" parts. And break-passes are free and infinitely farm-able (If you S rank you get the pass you used back and you can never run out) so you can greatly boost the rates at which you find parts and level by just using them whenever you play. you should pretty much ALWAYS be using them once you get to the point in the story that you unlock Synthing.

Oh yeah, I'm to the point I regularly buy out the entire store JUST to build and speed check for stats for parts. Just seems weird that, on one hand, the game is so...OPEN, but also so insanely limited too

If it's of any consolation... the cd reduction when maxed on some of those abilities is ridiculous lol.

Ok I tested it, and indeed even at level 50 you can select multiple low star parts. I dunno why I though otherwise.
Still, most your abilities by the end game are on high star parts, and those still require individual confirmation, so it's still massive pain to upgrade abilities.
