granted GB3 had funnels be OP instead of EX which would of been fun to use but again, never played it
GB4 has alot more MS in it and the parts customizing is what I wished 3 had. Fact I can make a small MA or fighter plane had me chuckling. I've attempted to faithfully reproduce the Core Gundam and all 7 of its planet system armors. The partner ai is alot better than SGB, but worse than GB3. More in-depth customizing when it comes to coloring options, weathering, panel-lining, and patterns. I believe story difficulty progression was alot easier this time around than 3, though I may be forgetting things but this was my experience with it.
that was just added in the newest patch they said
Builder parts:
*Part system is still weaker than 3
*Parts like thrusters or propellant tanks do not confer bonuses like 3 did
*mirrored parts do not rotate properly on their axis. I heard this has been fixed, but unconfirmed.
*Parts will revert to "origin point" on a part when fired. This can ruin builds and was not present in 3 (parts rotated and moved would retain their orientation and position upon being fired
Weapons:
*Gouf Custom Gatling shield relegated to just a shield with the gatling being an optional part instead of an actual weapon (in 3 it was a weapon with the shield being usable as a shield)
Parts:
*Parts with toggle-able sections seem to be haphazard. certain suit variants do not have the same toggle options as their "mainline" counterpart
EX/OP system
*terrible compared to 3
*EX skills still tied to parts and not weapon types like 3 leads to builds being ruined by ugly wireframes
*Optional parts are worse than 3. in 3 parts used a gauge. in this you use it and then are forced to wait on a cooldown. if a part is capable of multiple uses, it must be used all at once or once and then wait for recharge. like the beam spot gun on the Gelgoog Jaeger's arms. In 3 it would be a gauge that would only deplete on use, recharging if spent or if not being used. in 4 you use it once and it puts the OP on cooldown. forcing you to wait for recharge
Missions:
*4 is just arenas you get TP'ed to. In 3 you were effectively "dungeon crawling". though later maps did get long and tedious
*No vehicles. 2 introduced them, 3 added more, but the lack of vehicles in 4 is sad.
3 is still the pinnacle. Don't let people tell you otherwise.
4 is a weaker game ,but not by much
GB 3 is still at the top, maybe some updates will improve the experience, which so far is good, quite good.
Yes, It's Blue Destiny, the artist is Kuri Giepi on Danbooru
thanks for anwsering!
Melee loot pool is more interesting because of moveset variants in 3 vs. GB4's ranged weapon mode variance.
GB3 has more wacky EX moves vs. GB4 having more grounded EX moves, one is not superior over the other imo.
GB4 offers much better customization such as being able to modify built in parts vs. GB3 where you essentially nerf yourself for having two in ones.
i must disagree GB3 has way better ex attacks like all the melee ones that are absent dead end impact wheel strike ♥♥♥♥ like that
I say one isn't superior over the other as the EXs from both games serve the same purposes but GB4's are more tame and can appeal to some people over the more wacky G Gundam style moves from 3. Like people that don't understand we're playing as assembled toys, not an actual mobile suit lol.
