GB4's at least playable. It's fun. It's also fairly shallow. I'd say it's not really worth full price.
As someone who's been playing the series since 1, I'm in love with the game enough to be playing it through twice both on the PC and Switch. That said, it's certainly far from perfect, and with no demo I can't in good conscience recommend it to someone who has no idea what they're getting into at full price. Short version is if you like customization and building cool machines, you're not going to find anything better. I'd recommend checking out some of the crazy things people have built on YouTube for instance.
Also from what I gather from people talking here, the non-Japanese version is complete garbage, so make sure you don't accidentally set the language wrong.
Some maps have waves of me, some only have 3 and some only have 1 or 2 giant ones.
The big appeal is the building part of the game, while not 100% like real like gunpla building it does stuff you cant do real life, like scaling or have parts clip trough each other.
