It make the enemies more focused on your friends instead of you, which may slightly beneficial for you,
this is very interesting, and also probably one of the stupidest game design, and it may affecting a lot of people without they realize it. Thank you for the info.
Multi-hit beam attack apparently is affected by performance stat, and when you have higher performance stat, the beam will go through the enemy faster and cause less hits dan deals less damage. Lowering performance seems counter intuitive, but it does increase beam damage by a lot.
Maybe? Think about it though. Virtue is one of the bigger and slower units which has a long streaming beam attack. So big and slow = more firepower (bt I agree it's still a dmb way to do it lol)
