I know right?? Again, not an issue in GB3 (from memory at least).
I really, really hope they patch this. If not, it just kills the customization for me and that means once I get bored of creating gunpla for photos and diorama I am done.
After finishing the story I've spent a few days just creating kits and not actually playing missions because of this.
Again, it's a cool idea conceptually, but in practice it would be awful to play through.
That said, the current system is awful for any long duration skills, I don't mind using it for something like the heat shotel combo from the sandrock custom backpack, but I hate when I wanted to use Hades system and suddenly I have a damned Pale Rider head that's transparent.
I hope a patch fixes it, but I really doubt it gets patched, so hopefully some mods will fix it at least.
Aw, that's terrible ): I suppose GB3 became a culmination of all the feedback they got from GB1 and GB2 and made it their flagship Breaker game :3
To be honest, as much as I adore having a GB game on PC (finally!), I still prefer everything about GB3; from its UI to the combat pacing. Idk if it's just me, but do you feel as though the combat is too methy? Like, it's just cracked (and not in a good way); the attack speed is insanely fast straight off the bat and it only gets faster, but what's ironic is that the DPS does not increase with attack speed which is what is the standard in aRPGs.
So now we have this comically methed out Mobile Suit/Gundam going absolutely ham, as if they have Trans-Am permanently engaged, whilst the damage dealt is pitiful. But with GB3, it was more... balanced. Maybe it is just me tho.
But yeah, a damn shame that the runner cutting system could not have been salvaged and polished )':
That's right! I forgot about weapon OP skills XD They were funny but I stopped noticing a few hundred hours later because I had built and perfected my custom Gundam (the Celeste Kai) which was a pure melee build (think kickboxing). It was ridiculously powerful, every punch would literally dismember parts, even mini bosses, and paired with Darkness Finger and Bullet Orbit? Godly.
I tried rebuilding it in GB4 and it is not the same ):
I just want GB3's perfected systems in GB4 😭
P.S. I just remembered that those OP skills could also evolve into upgraded versions if you levelled them up and GB4, so far, does not do this
Ooops, my bad 😅 I often get them mixed up. I miss that system though, it was very rewarding to use the same skills over and over, to see them evolve and improve!
and there was something i wrote up earlier in the forum, about bits and funnels, which need buffed.
In 3, if i activated super dragoon with the SF Wings and Unicorn FA Arms, they'd both shoot off. id still have to toggle the arms as OP Equip, and the GN Racks, and C Funnels, but here,i have to use NT-D For The Phenex Backpack,FA Uni Arms, and Dragoons for the wings, but the wings are automatic.
id need to have 3 EX Slots filled out of 4 to pull it off, but its do-able (not counting c-funnel and gn funnels). NT-D,Super Dragoon, and of course, the FA Arms, im not sure if the phenex is a skill related EX, like all other funnels and bits
another thing, that could be patched, would be a list of what you get in a kit when you buy it,instead of just icons to guess, from the shop, ala GB3.
they will not change how funnels work, they will either buff the damage or the fire rate but they want to avoid builds with 70 funnels that oneshot everything
Boooo that's not fun :l It's a single-player game where God-tier post-game builds should not need to be nerfed, nor should we, as players, be punished for experimenting and discovering these OP builds ):
Like how a min/maxed melee build in GB3 would literally disconnect and break parts per hit >:) C&M didn't nerf my custom build (it was an absolute menace), so why should they nerf Crimson Kitsune's fun? l:
