Chaos just didn't want to / couldn't believe that the gb4 devs had created a true AI.
The "human vs AI" theme is such a 2023 topic for a universe that is half a century beyond it.
it pretty much screams for itself when the script was actually penned.
Also still the same universe that has Sara and Eve and May and Robota and Info AND Reco (which is in the very same game), so while I do get Chaos' issue and real life qualms with generative AI, he also both approach things in the wrong direction and for the lack of better words did the same thing what AI did to him RL; which win almost nobody's favor in-game (for MC's faction anyway)
Consumer model Mobile Suits and space colonies shouldn't yet be a thing in GB4, but there is still definitely a case to be made about the AI angle considering, well... Robota, Info-chan, and, IIRC, the AI running the space station.
dont tell me you play this game for the plot, cos... i'm gonna laugh if you do.
the epilogue of GB3 was after 30 years+
GB4 is 6 years after gb3.
The idea that a former devs could use a back door to then take over the system is way more plausible than what happens in Build Drivers. Sarah's existence is bought about by the feelings people had for their Gunpla. This is not how coding works. Her existence starts to cause bugs which threatens to destroy the game. More believable. But, then the developers hold match to decide what to do about her. Which such an idiotic idea. I'll quote Rurouni Kenshin here. A fight just proves who's the strongest is a fight. Not who's right.
This was a pretty clear case of this a Gundam battle show. So we're going to have a Gundam battle regardless of if that makes sense or not. Where again. Chaos as former developer who wants to craft and an experience that's meant to be played to prove his point. Is at least consistent with who he is.
For the record. I do like Build Drivers. I think the charm of the characters does over come the nonsense plot. But, a nonsense plot it is.
