All the weapons ex skills are gone?

I get that some of the ex skills are integrated into their own combo strings but those auto fire machinegun orbs, the cross slashes, the spiral spirit sword vergil style..........those are totally gone?
Also Virtue GN Bazooka is such a disappointment or there's a different version? Charging it no longer charges a huge beam ball and did no difference from not charging at all.

some skill should be moved to certain body part now

Would've been better if a lot of generic weapon ex skills from GB2/3 stays on generic weapons, I guess we can't win everything
