However this game might be one you'd stick with longer if you're really into building/customising mechs.
GB4
This is all casual, grinding, mech masher dynasty warrior like and putting you favorite plastic gundam pieces together. I'm enjoying it but make no mistake, it's brain dead relaxed gameplay.
AC6-no grinding, all the parts have very specific conditions and unlock predictably. Plenty to build on and tinker with. If your dream is to be badass mech pilot skill wise, this game will drive that into you if you pick up the skills. It's what a good number of players would imagine piloting an actual gundam would be like.
My fav experience in AC6 was playing my 2nd run and decided I'd use the starter kit, see how much my skills had developed without relying on the new gear. It was so fun and awesome. Enemies I'd barely beaten....I was tearing apart with the starter mech, they couldn't touch me! ^_^ so good.
* (btw you can play through AC6 3 times, story changes after first and 2nd. Also multiplayer PVP if you're into that)
GB4 is a looter shooter beat-em-up with a lot of RNG and grinding, while AC6 is a pretty well balanced gameplay focused third person action game.
So it's up to what you're looking for. AC6 is more of proper game aimed at hardcore gamers. While GB4 is shallow with a focus on artistic expression. More like a digital toy box aimed at kids.
if you're looking for one that makes you feel like you're piloting a machine, Armored Core. if you're looking for a hack and slash with a lot of options for visual customization, Gundam Breaker 4.
*AC6 if you want to tinker your robot to a murderous T 800
*Gundam Breaker 4 if you want to create a shinny or hilarious mobile suit that still able to kick lots of ass
if you care about how you looks and beating enemies is just extra
go for GB4
if you care about how your action beat enemies then suit accordingly
go for Armored core 6
bonus point for GB4 atm because multiplayer is currently active for both showing your build and skills
