How to sort parts?

This game is a UI nightmare...
During assemply, it shows me that i can press X (XBOX glyphs) to sort parts...
What it does is bring up a box where i can config 3 sorting presets and a filter...but no way to actually apply any of the sorting presets.
So how do i actually sort my parts?

It's a little convoluted but you can select how to sort parts on the first page. Basically by stats and such select one then back out to the parts menu. Filter let's you deselect specific series so parts from those don't show up. If it's darkened it's deselected if it's bright it'll show up.

Yeah...that doesn't work.
Like i said, all this brings up is the sorting settings where you can set up three prefabs (by default: Newest / Level / Rarity) but they do nothing.
I can change any of the prefabs, but i can not apply any of them.

I don't even want to sort out (filter) anything, i just want parts to be listed Level / Rarity first and for the life of me, i can't find how to actually apply sorting prefabs.

There isn't an "apply" button when sorting/filtering. You open the sort/filter with X, select one of the three currently-applied conditions with A, select something else from the submenu with A again, then just back out with the B button, and your list will update

Yes, and it's not doing anything at all for me, no matter what i do.
So i assume it's just bugged out.

Where is how it work.
Sort by list of number 1/2/3
Number 1 slot will be sort first so let say I want sort by alphabet
Number 2 slot will go after alphabet so let say rarity
Number 3 slot will go after that so let say level

So what we got as an example is Letter start with A and the highest rarity than after that level.

Ex:
00 Gundam will be the top since it is sort by alphabet.
It is a 5 star rarity out of all the rest so it will be the top
Last is highest level for that rarity so let say it is level 3
Under that is the same 00 gundam same rarity but 1 level lower which is level 2.

Now let say if you want to sort by rarity first and level second.

Ex: 1/2/3
rarity/level/whatever you want

had that issue also, i think in CH3 it worked fine.
