Question about parts

So what do the little red v symbols and blue gunpla frame symbols on some parts that drop mean? Also do you get the ability to level up parts as the story goes on? I'm not super far in.

I think the blue one is for having S rank and the Red v Symbol is parts you get because you used a Breaker Ticket(Gives you way more pieces) You do get the ability to level up, increase rank and more for pieces as the story goes on!
