I feel your pain, don't get me wrong, I hope your turn comes soon. But for me and a lot of people this is the one we've been waiting for, and I hope you can be happy for us.
If GB3 were released on PC at some point, then the hype for this game wouldn't be nearly as immense as it is. But the reality is that GB3 was PS exclusive, AND it was never released in the west (western players had to import the Asian English version). This will be the first time a lot of people will get to play this series, and it will be the first time that returning fans will be able to play it on a decent platform and natively in English.
I get the desire for something else. But this is long overdue.
MS Saga was terrific, aye. Played it for the first time quite recently and had a grand time. Was impressed how well the progression through the generations of mobile suits worked and how rewarding it felt, and the story had some surprisingly great moments.
I think if this game does well, Bandai will be convinced that AC6 wasn't just a one-time thing and the people are truly starving for some more mech customization action. I don't know if MS Saga will ever return, but at the very least I can hope for a revival of Gundam games on PC after the immense bag fumbling that was Evolution.
It indeed used the various suits well, and it used ones you wouldn't always expect, not just the Gundams, but also digging deeper into the Mobile Suits themselves. Heck, just have a Guncannon as something you get is neat.
That said, I love how the story tries to be the typical RPG type plot of orphans exploring a world of adventure...but has to begin with a cutscene that says 90% of the earth's population died on a single terrible day...like, that is some tone whiplash right there.
In fairness, it does a pretty good job of preparing you for the rest of the places the plot/tone go, heh.
I played Crossfire. Ironically its biggest issue was the PS3. Ran like crap on it, was just an absolute wreck. But if you were to emulate it? It’s like a whole different game.
Oh MS Saga was my jam. I really need to go back and replay it. It deserves a remaster.
