but there is a Quest mode, and Bounty Hunter mode to hunt down parts/PVP AI Suits others designed with.
youll probably be farming for parts, which is part of the charm of building your own suit (Gunpla).
Quest and Bounty hunter modes sound nice.
so will the parts you can get have random stats/skills/bonus attached to them, or is it just a predetermined roll that drops?
The parts have random affixes, but the full game will also allow you to "merge" parts In order to transfer/buff those affixes. So it's no big deal if you get a head you want that has no affixes and one you don't want that has a bunch.
Alright, thanks, I've heard enough.
I'll be preordering the deluxe edition in the next few days.
if its a game your not sure you'll like, its best to go with the base version.
then get the Season Pass/DLC Later, if you like it.
we dont even know whats going to be in the DLC Yet, anyway.
but thats just oppionon, hope you enjoy it, either way.
Except... yes, we do to some extent. Each of the DLC packs (I believe a total of 5 were confirmed, but I would have to double check the last dev stream) will contain additional post-game story missions (3 missions in the first one, 2 missions in each subsequent one) and an additional "Quest Mission" as well as 4-5 additional mobile suits.
The premise of fight, loot, upgrade, repeat is more then enough for me, especially if it's with mechs.
The story missions seem to consist of clusters of stages w/Visual Novel style cutscenes to advance the plot, taking place inside a VR game called "Gunpla Battle Blaze: Beyond Borders."
Besides that, there are Quest Mode stages which seem to be the backbone of the loot acquisition loop - you go through a stage and fight bosses, usually in the form of NPC Gunpla Builders, but also in the form of PG model kits and Mobile Armor bosses.
They also added a wave-based Survival Mode where you fight solo for up to 50 waves of enemies, with increasing rewards based on performance; and they still have a 1v1, 1v2, or 1v3 "Bounty Hunter" mode which puts you against player-designed kits, though they are still AI-controlled, which usually result in you winning some of the parts used on their kit.
At the end, though, a lot of the time you'll be getting parts to customize and power up your Gunpla by a.) drops from various missions, or b.) buying the kits from the in-game shop. The latter gives you an easy way to get a complete kit, but they usually do not have any extra passive abilities attached to them - so you'd either use them as fodder for transferring mech-specific passives to parts that don't normally have them, or you feed a bunch of weaker parts with random passives attached to them to those parts to get the one you want.
Hey... I have no problem with anyone voicing their opinion on the game (supporting or dissenting). The only thing I clarified was that there had been specific info given on GB4's season pass (trying to keep the facts straight for anyone else stumbling upon the topic).
And in that vein... NGB did have plans to potentially offer additional special missions that would allow players to fight unique suits and gain special parts (the most notable being the Super Funina battle that was advertised as a pre-order bonus) as well as certain timed events that would give access to specific parts unobtainable otherwise (the devs have already stated that there will be no "event specific parts" in GB4). While very few of those missions/events ever materialized, it's important to note that NGB never sold a "season pass" as DLC. Any and all future updates were tentative and had no price points advertised, let alone any that were actually sold.
its paid DLCs tho,but it also come with new VN story if you care about that
and i havent watched that stream myself,so i apoiogize for the bad info.
