Still not working for me... Downloaded and installed the driver, but it didn't seem to make any difference at all. My system runs Win 7, and I have a single Radeon 7950 in it, if that makes any difference. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

EDIT: Okay, I've got it working now. The link on ihq47 posted above is for version 9.13 of the PhysX Legacy driver, whereas the link posted on page one of this thread is for 9.15. I couldn't get 9.15 to play ball, but 9.13 works just peachy. Thanks!

The error you're describing should actually be solved by installing the "Ageia Physix driver" I have linked to.
