Controller not working on pc gamepass version

Anyone else pre install the game through pc game pass and have input trouble? It seems I can't get the controller and keyboard to work properly, in fact sometime it does not register any input at all. It is literally unplayable for me right now.

I saw from some discussion that there is option for mouse and keyboard along with other control scheme but there's nothing like that in the main menu in my end.

Oh also already tried my gamepad with other games and it works just fine.

Hopefully the dev sees this, had to resort to steam discussion cuz there's virtually no support there on microsoft platform

I have not been able to. No input from keyboard, mouse or other gamepads.
Xbox controller doesn't register anything else. I'm stuck at the main screen without any input working. I had to force close the game.
Other games work, so i'm assuming in a Somerville issue with Gamepass PC.

It works on my DS4 controller via game pass. I'm not sure what exactly made it work but this is what I did:
- Connect DS4 via USB.
- Close Steam if it's open (There's a conflict between Xbox app and Steam most of the time when I want to use my DS4 via Bluetooth)
-turn off Bluetooth on windows
- Start the game on game pass
- Use keyboard to navigate in the menu (take note it's WASD by default (Qwerty))
- Use controller (still connected by usb)

Worked using ds4windows for me, just emulates a 360 controller

My Dual Sense is automatically picked up by the game. No third party software required.

Edit: I'm also connected via usb cord.

Oh wow, I always use bluetooth for ds4windows cuz connecting through cable tend to mess up input mapping for me for lots of games idk why.

Same. I've installed from XBOX Gamepass. I cannot even change settings. I just barely started the game and what ?? I cannot control anything by K+M or Xbox Controller. If you release a game, you must be sure that you don't have control issue first, right ?! What an amateurism, disapointment is this ?!

I'm having the same problem. If you press the HOME key, two of the characters fall out of the world map.

I ended up downloading from an... alternate source. Was able to play through the game via keyboard/mouse with that version.

I'm not sure when but I just got into pc gamepass again and there seems to be an update on Somerville, it's around 800mb. Hope they patch the game.
