Not sure if I should keep it...
The first thing I saw when opening the game was non functioning anisotropic filtering and thus a horrible image right from the start - even the loading screen has everything which is lightly further away blurred out. Luckily that was fixable in the Nvidia control panel by forcing it to 16x. This promptly revealed misaligned floor textures which were previously covered up by the blurred image. GPU is an RTX 2070, btw.

To me this is a pretty bad first impression and shows a lack of care and attention to detail and when I see such glaring issues this early on in a game, my first thought is to get a refund. Now, I don't wanna jump the gun too quickly, so I'll ask here if you think that it's worth it to give this game a chance.

Hi Space Cowboy! I'm one of the devs.

First of all, sorry about those issues, we weren't aware of them.

Please bear in mind this is our first professional game and has been made by a very small indie team under some difficult circumstances. It's not by any means perfect, but not because of lack of love (we really poured our hearts and even health into it), but because lack of experience and scope. It's just a love letter to games we love to play and have grown with, especially stealth games.

However, I understand your reservations. If you are looking for a perfect game, sadly you won't find it here (I really wish lol) and maybe you should refund it. But I'd suggest, as you can still refund it until reaching 2 hours of playtime, to play it a little bit and see if you enjoy it. And then if it ends up not being your cup of tea, feel free to jump the gun :)

I played a little more but it's not up to my standard of quality and polish, especially when it comes to the textures. They feel like they were haphazerdly thrown together in way to many areas. I'm a huge fan of environmental storytelling so I tend to take a close look at everything and in this game I find more errors than cool stuff to look at and that really pulls me out of the experience. Gameplay seems fine overall, though, albeit a little bit clunky.
For now I gonna refund it but keep an eye on patch notes and might grab it at a later date if I see that the texture issues get fixed. Or at a deep, deep sale although I'd prefer a well polished game rather than an ultra cheap one.
