Mic not working

Im trying to get the achievement alert npcs but when I talk into my mic nothing happens is there a way to configure it into the game or change a setting on my pc somewhere?

All you do is crouch by the window when mom sends the picture of the guy outside and look at him outside the front door. No mic needed.

well for me i had to manually turn my mic on and then open the game

I tried that cause I know some games for some reason wont pick up the mic if you change your sound settings on your desktop but that didnt work and I know how you get the achievement but it wont pick up my mic

Are you near the right window? (idk if there is one for sure) The one in the kitchen closest to the door is the one that worked for me, first time I tried was the window near the TV & it didnt work. upping ur volume input might also help :)

I was at the window next to the door I watched a video on Youtube to make sure I did everything right its either a in game bug or something with my windows settings isnt giving that game access

sorry to hear it isnt working still :( did the YT vid mention whether or not having ur mic in the USB vs the little mic spot made a difference? i saw that it helped a few others, if not you're probably right in it being a bug or access issue which sucks

I had to change my voice input manually to get it to work. check if your pc did not switch your default option to something else. mine had the vr as default and I never noticed untill now

Jumping in here. I have tried EVERYTHING to get this achievement to trigger and it won't. If anyone found out a way to trigger it please let me know. I tried turning off VoiceMod, turning off VoiceMeeter and resetting all my audio settings (PITA), nada. Windows shows FTF is using Mic during the scene, but it is not triggering event

Pyon are you at the right window? Besides being at the one in the kitchen next to the door I turned my mic sens up and just kept making noise & that got it for me :( I don’t get why it seems to be so tricky

I tried every window, I changed my mic defaults in windows to try multiple microphones, I tried it like 7 times, I did a bunch of stuff. 4 tutorials on how to get it later to make sure I have been doing it right and Noooothing worked. Has anyone figured this out yet? I maxed out my mic volume and everything.

I can't believe theres still issues with this damn window!! i dont get why it wont work for you all :/ wondering if its a bug at this point & not user error
