Recently the UT/DR Holiday Newsletter for 2024 released, so here's a place to chat about it.

chapters 3 and 4 are 100% coming out in Spring.

guy above me and guy above the guy above me, why can't it release in late january? like there is still a week of december and whole month to go, if we will be lucky enough and there will be no bugs, why can't we see chapters in winter?

remember that PC is not the only platform that Deltarune is on. there's also consoles. Toby wants to release the game on PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch simultaneously. which means that his team will have to playtest chapters 3 and 4 on ALL of those platforms. playtesting takes longer than you may think, because most developers nowadays don't actually playtest their game and just assume it's finished when it's content complete.

also think about how he has to get a manufacturer to produce physical copies of the game for consoles. however, this is really if he *wants* physical copies of the game, he could just drop it on digital storefronts.

my prediction is late feburary at earliest and early april at latest

regardless of the exact timeframe; Q1 absolutely. toby would not have given us a timeframe if it wasnt going to be within the next 6 months

if the guy above is correct then that would mean CH3 And CH4 would be only a month or two maybe three away. witch is crazy to think about!

I'm personally hoping for a May/April Release Date. It seems reasonable. Localization takes a lot of work, and there might be some bugs with the new game-maker features.
