It specifically states that when the balance of light and dark is broken, the Earth will take her final breath. "ONLY THEN," will three heroes appear at world's edge, a human, a monster, and a prince from the dark. Only they can seal the fountains and banish the angel's heaven, and the world saved from destruction.
First of all, the three heroes have appeared far before the world's end. The destruction of earth seems like something that will happen if too many fountains are made and/or remain for too long.
Second of all, the prophecy is very vague about the first two heroes and very specific about the third. Any member of a specific species, any member of another specific species... and a prince from the dark?
Third of all, only Kris has been sealing these fountains. Susie and Ralsei have certainly helped them along with the journey, they're all a part of the same team. But when it comes to the actual fountain sealing, it's specifically Kris that does so.
Fourth of all, what the ♥♥♥♥ is "the angel's heaven?"
Now, I'm not saying that these inconsistencies inherently mean ralsei is intentionally hiding something. It could be that ralsei simply does not know the entire prophecy, or that the prophecy has inaccuracies, or that Toby just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up a bit, or a combination of these.
Also, for the sake of shipping, I really hope Ralsei doesn't have any sort of relation to Asriel.
I think what’s going on is that the world of Deltarune itself is a larger scale dark world being observed by Gaster and other “higher beings”. Ralsei is a mediator created by those beings that knows this and is trying to keep their experiment going.
If too many dark fountains open up, these observers will have to abandon the world as they will no longer have any control of it, and possibly destroy it. They are the “Titans” in the prophecy.
The Angel’s Heaven refers to someone trying to recreate the world of deltarune as they see fit.
The Legend is based on a game Asriel made up with Kris and their friends long ago, and it happens to share some parallels with the reality of what is going on. Ralsei is basically is just using this story to keep the truth hidden. Ralsei himself has taken the form of Asriel’s character from the game.
The Knight is the original monster from Asriel’s game, as Susie was not around then. Who’s identity is likely Noelle’s deceased sister, December, who is using the roaring so she can restore her physical body.
December was accidentally killed by Noelle when the group went into the woods to act out the final battle with the Angel. If you’ve seen or played the Snowgrave route, you have an idea as to what happened. Noelle has no memory of the event as she blacked it out of her mind due to the emotional trauma. This is why having to spell December causes her to have a panic attack.
December has now returned as a spirit of determination (similar to Chara in Undertale) and is possessing Kris to create more dark fountains. Meanwhile she still retains the physical body of her old knight character in the Dark World.
Well, I am convinced. Seeing him as a jerk would indeed be very depressing and I sort of just expected it because it would subvert our expectations in an emotionally catastrophic way.
Either way, I am glad that there are good little stories around Town that show he did in fact care.
Yeah, I think there is a secret that Ralsei is keeping. However I don't think it is anything malicious, otherwise alot of people will be burning their Fluffy boi plushies come chapter 7.
Yeah after chapter 2, strangely I’m less inclined to think Ralsei is evil, even though he’s much more suspicious. That’s mainly because of the introduction of the Titans.
On the other hand, having Asriel come in at the final boss revealing himself as the original Ralsei and taking their spot in the party for that final boss fight would also be cool.
Also, she's dead?? I must have missed whenever that was mentioned.
I think that will probably happen. Many Theories have suggested that RALSEI was just a Character that Asriel made for that kind of Game, which would make it very easy for him to join in once he actually gets to Town.
About a Century from now, when Chapter 7 is released.
I never got that impression, but I still have to play the Game. Mostly I have just been doing research into "deltarune" on the side.
Although, I did see a short video where someone tried equipping the "Snow Ring" on RALSEI and that made him say "Are you proposing?..." It seemed more awkward than anything else.
I guess alternatively Ralsei could decide their world shouldn’t be controlled anymore and he goes away before the final boss, letting Asriel take his place.
In the fandom wiki page you can find these pieces of info, too.
I absolutely love this point, and I've never really considered it before. That being said, I'm not really that big into the theories and such, as I would rather be surprised by what Toby's mind comes up with next... but stuff like this that the rest of the community comes up with does intrigue me.
