Basically, heartless Kris opens up Fountains, Kris and co befriends everyone, and then transplants them to Ralsie's world, secretly making Ralsie's world more and more powerful. and the heroes do this willingly, because they think that they are helping.
I predict that something very bad will happen when Asriel returns, probably at the end of Chapter 5 (Store page says Chapter 3-5 are coming, but the end page shows 7 chapters. It is the perfect hook to keep us hyped for chapter 6-7)
Either Ralsie will be the final boss of Chapter 7, or Ralsie will be Chapter 6's final boss, and heartless Kris will be the final boss of Chapter 7.
Just a theory, though.
I like this one too. Also, it adds up to what I've said and we could add, as you pointed out : Ralsie/Asriel is toxic and befriends Kris's friends so he can much more easily steal them with his manipulative behavior, he ""recruits"" them (hence the "recruiting" gameplay) but for HIS kingdom and somehow, I sense that when Asriel will return, Kris will loose all of his friends and darkworld's friends BECAUSE Ralsie RECRUITS them for HIS kingdom that, conviently, is the ONLY ONE who is ALLOWED to exist.
It's weird that, for now, for 2 chapters and the ending of this one, the darkworlds fountains are opening on social spaces : a classroom used for playing games, a library, a living room with a TV... All spaces when you can socialize with people, make friends, etc... So, Kris opens a fountain here, makes new imaginary friends and then Ralsie comes and say "Oh no no no, this is no good, apocalypse, let's close this and all come to MY kingdom where you can ALL live as MY SUBJECTS."
Maybe I'm theorizing too much but I really feel like we're onto something like this...
Actually, I did find it weird that they didnt even ask who he was. They did interact at the end of the giga queen boss, but other than that. I dont recall
Normally I would assume that forgetting introductions would just be an oversight but with a Toby Fox game... I would assume there is more to it.
That would solve the origins of Ralsei, effectively making him the same as Lancer, Seam and Rouxls Kaard as just objects brought to life. However, that fact that Berdly and Noelle barely talked to him in Chapter 2 and that he kept his identity a secret until the end of Chapter 1 still points to something more.
Furthermore, a requirement for the characters other than the real world characters to appear in the dark world is the object used to represent them must be present. Hence why lancer didn't appear until after Kris retrieved the items from the classroom. Those toy horns arent seen anyware other than the house and they arent in the lab or the classroom. So it still adds to the questions.
We also haven't seen the inside of the closet yet. We have seen the computer lab and the classroom but not the closet. Maybe something in there represents ralsei
my guess is on a sad backstory, the full version of his introduction in chapter 1. I just have this feeling his previous introduction was an abridged version.
