he is considerably easier than sans and undyne the undying
Remember dying is part of the process so just take a few tries to learn the patterns and it's not that hard actually!
For the Jevilsknife just move in a circular motion around them, for the carousel I just kept my eyes on the leftmost side on the screen so I could predict where to move beforehand.
For the clubsphere try going inbetween the third or fourth ones (in the order in which they start moving) down, and then up for the second half, repeat for all spheres but always keep your eyes in the current rotation.
As for battle-wise I just defended whem posible to build TP and use carousel in any turn where you can't use Hypnosis so Jevil keeps getting tired, I think it takes around 10 of them to fully tire him.
Just keep at it, you'll notice each time you'll be able to evade better, good luck!
Well, as of now, I managed to beat the Jevil. Most of it was luck, as I managed to wear him out just as I was running out of healing items; and I got a lucky result of some of my piruouttes. Be that as it may there were a few factors that came into play that I didn't use before...
1) That bit about the wing on the carousel being the part of watch out for was a BIG help. I didn't know about that, so I was trying to maneuver around the whole ducks/horses. And trust me, if you don't have twitch reflexes, that's hard. I was able to cut down the damage I took in half thanks to your advice.
2) I played in fullscreen. It was a little easier to see the attacks coming thanks to the size.
3) Praise Toby for incorporating controls on the Steam version. SO much easier to move the SOUL that way. I didn't think it'd make such a difference...but GOD, it did!
But yeah, a lot of it was luck. I exhausted my stock of Dark Burgers, the one Revive Mint I found, the Club Sandwich, and the Spin Cake. Having the Glow Shard and Manual in my inventory did NOT help things.
And I swear, if I have to start Chapter 2 over from scratch for this victory to count for future playthroughs...I'm gonna be a little bit annoyed. Thank Toby that I didn't go looking for the secret boss of Chapter 2 yet...
The pirouette actually isn't luck. It's actually turn based, fixed. Good that you were able to beat him. I prefer to play on keyboard, I find it faster to move one way or the other (since I can use 3 fingers instead of one). Generally, it's a matter of time. The more you play, more you notice the patterns of the attacks and can avoid more and more.
