[SPOILERS] My Demo Theory.

As this game is probably a (edit)sequel(end of edit) to Undertale, i have a theory.

Kris is most likely Chara as he uses the same knife as chara and keeps taking his/her soul out and in repeatedly at the end of chapters,

and in chapter 1, he/she removes his soul from his/her body and throws it either at the wall, or the cage.
Then pulls out the knife, and the Cyberworld fountain appears,
And its covered up by the pie being eaten by kris.

In chapter two, Kris has an excuse to go wash his/her hands, And if u actually do that, Kris will turn on the sink and pull his/her soul out and put it in the cabinet.

Then go out the window and slash the car wheels.
then wash his/her hands and get the soul again. Then kris and susie watch tv and they fall asleep, Toriel probably does too.

Then kris wakes up and pulls out the knife. and creates a new fountain, in the earth.

I think that if kris actually IS chara will be revealed at the end of the game or so.

Kris might even be the dark knight.


Overall, i think this is a really interesting feature.

Nah, Toby wrote a basic outline of the story before he even began working on Undertale. He even attempted to make the game back in 2012, but scrapped it.

In the 6th anniversary stream he talked about how originally all the characters in the light world were humans, and then became monster versions of themselves in the dark world. The characters on the surface being those from Undertale is unlikely to factor in majorly into the story and is only a thing he did because he wanted to trick people into thinking it was a sequel to Undertale (which he also said in the stream).

cant be a prequel, toby has said that undertale and deltarune are separate, they only share characters which are different in deltarune than undertale

Well… my own theory is that someone from Kris’s past is possessing both them and Noelle to make dark fountains. This person is the Knight, and they were someone very close to Kris, Noelle, and Asriel until they were killed in the dark world years ago and deemed missing.

Just Dess, actually-- short for December. Dess was Noelle's older sister, and is talked about only in past tense, so probably dead.

She'll clearly be important to the story in some way.

What is your theory based on? What specific events in the game lead you to come to this conclusion?

It's not particularly convincing to make these assertions if you don't show your 'work,' so to speak.

*edit* I say this because you use the word "theory," which implies you should have some kind of evidence or that you can demonstrate the theory's ability to be tested (either now or in future). If you just want to say you have a hunch or a feeling that's fine, but please specify that.

well i think that because D E C E M B E R is spelled out in cyberworld

And cyberworld just became recently available and as Ralsei said,

its a new fountain. so i think December is still alive.

so either she'll be a bossfight in order to stop the fountains

or kris turns to the dark side

"Firstly, the RED soul is not Chara nor Frisk's soul. It is OUR soul. This is true in both Undertale and Deltarune. ... Kris IS Chara, the Deltarune version of them."

This proves my theory, I'm not saying that deltarune will become undertale.

I think kris will eventually turn to the dark side because of this.
