When will the game release?

My guy, toby fox... how much did you even do? Did you at least do one chapter? The story kind of left on a cliffhanger, and i really wanna know how long will we have to wait.

Sign up to the newsletter for updates. The latest one says "We are continuing to work on Chapter 3! The Chapter got playable from beginning to end. After some restructuring and reshuffling of different parts, it's feeling quite good to go through. Can't say it's finished yet, but the unfinished parts are certainly seeming less and less numerous."

I would guess and say it's coming in 2024.

Personally, I'd rather just have Chapter 3 so I can enjoy and savor it & then wait on the next one. I don't know how long till all 3 chapters are completed & its already been 2 years since Chapter 2.
Toby also said we wouldn't have to wait a long time like when it was just chapter 1 for 3 years, but that could change.

well, the other chapters must be quite big, if it takes that long (no, im not disrespecting, im not a game dev, but 2 years? but, i mean, if they realease all the chapters at once, its normal, but if only one chapter, then the chapter should be big)

Yes, there are some difficulties. But because of the lack of information, it is not clear what is going on. I do not think that in the original plans there was a period of about 10 years for the development of the game. But it's almost a fact. Even the official website still doesn't show the news for September 2023.


It's okay, man. It's kind of accepted nowadays that if you ask something, you're a troll or toxic. Even though it's a normal human reaction to something we're interested in.

I thought one didn't cancel the other out. The newsletter is for the fans, the website is for the average person.

Chapter 3 is now playable from start to finish although there are some bits and pieces still unfinished, and I think it took him almost one year to reach this point with it.
Considering at least 2 more main chapters are planned, I could see the release date around 2025, not earlier.
