Smiley face in the basement

When you go to get the disk in the mansion basement there is a smile like the one on the tv but with spamtons eyes, does anybody have a idea about what it is?

Nope. The right blue plug monster in the wall also gets a smile if you wait near it, stay close but not enough where it attacks, after doing the teacups.

I think it's just there to spook the player, considering the basement is pretty scary. Or it could also be the chapter 3 antagonist watching Kris, but hey, that's just a theory. A Ga

That can’t be though, as Mike would be stuck in the living room without a physical form until the living room fountain is made. Unless there’s another version of the same character that was corrupted and put down in the basement.

kinda looks like a smiler from the backrooms. however I think the updated smiler image came after the old one. other than inspiration for design I dont think its related. maybe it could be gaster, gasters skull is cracked in undertale (assuming the mystery man is gaster) but deltarune taking place in an alternate universe. My final theory is that it is spamton itself. because yes, it does have spamtons eyes. although it is a lot bigger that the actual EX suit. spamton can extend his head meaning maybe it is spamton. whatever this smile is is probably just something to drive game theory insane. but hey that just a theory a ga

yes but spamton is downloaded into the disc, it can't be him unless there are muiltible spamtons, cause you see the face on the way to the suit, unless i am remembering it wrong

Nope, it's before you ever see the suit (and therefore before you have the disk), for the smiley face down below. I don't know if you can see the blue plug one that was mentioned above after getting the disk though. I haven't seen that instance of it myself.

point is, the smiley face appears before the disk is put in. that is true, but just because spamton isnt in the suit doesnt mean he is gone.
