DELTARUNE

DELTARUNE

What does Queen mean?
I'm not that good at speaking English so I didn't completely understand everything. Could someone please explain what Queen meant by "It Means Tity" or why she said that in the first place. Also what is "Perish" and "Bosom". Only serious comments please. 😅

The option is basically asking whether you will join her or die. But it uses a word from her options to make it more comedic. Bosom is another word for breast, boob, or tity as she says.

perish means die, what she says is referencing what the second one means.

Oh...ok. So she basically says that you will die under her...uh. Or did I misunderstand something there? 😂
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

"Under the bosom" or variations of this saying is a very old way of saying "Under the care". It's rarely used in modern English and would sound off if you were to use it in conversation nowadays. Well, at least in American English.

But as Asriel mentioned, it literally means "Under the breast".

Is it just me, or are the characters more ready to swear in this game too?

Toby seems willing to push the envelope a bit farther this time
...and I'm perfectly okay with that.

Maybe? The blatant swearing in Ch 1+2 didn't seem any worse than Undertale. I woudn't consider "Under the bosom" a swear but then again I never heard it used in normal conversation, only in movies and books.

I personally don't want this game to have blatant swearing. It more often than not feels forced and cringe. I like where the series is now, where there it is mostly whimsical with a hint of a dark undertone.

Maybe "Under the bosom" was risque when it was actually used in the common lexicom, but I don't get an inappropriate vibe from the phrase.

Characters in "deltarune" are definitely a lot more Swear Intensive than in UNDERTALE.

Considering that Monsters are directly part of the Modern World in "deltarune", I suppose I should not be too surprised at their swearing habits... But I am disappointed. Heh.

Either way, it definitely means a lot of... Eh hem... "Flavorful" Dialogue is possible now, mostly involving unnecessary swearing. Although, I admit that I love my Party's Name: "The $$$$ Squad"!

That's actually not what I was referring to, it's jut related due to the interpretation that it holds.

I like it. It feels more believable. It's not like they're doing it without some contextual reason, like some teens do.
