SPOILERS: Issue with Finding Jevil Crystal

I beat the final boss and the secret boss and got his Crystal but when I talked to Seams they said that I can find Jevil's Crystal somewhere but when I go to the spot where it is supposed to be it does not show up.

Is there something I'm missing?

Did you actually beat Jevil after beating ch.2? Thats when it appears in the hole.

I did not on my current computer but everywhere I have looked it says that you can get the crystal and item even if your save file does not carry over

At the entrance of Castle Town there are paths going left and right. If you go left you’ll find the Hacker and a hole in the background. If you check the hole you will find Jevil’s shadow crystal and whichever item you got him as last.

You could have also gotten it before going into the computer world.

I did go there and the item did not show up. Can you only do it during the intro before you go the Cyberworld?

the crystal appears after you have beaten jevil on any save file from chapter one, regardless of if you've carried it over to chapter 2.

i beat jevil in chapter 1 but under a different name do I need to do it again from scratch but with the same name?
