problem with "checking for setting updates..."

when i launch a the game it keeps loaiding and does't go past "checking for updates"

Have you tried to Press "Esc" and Exit the game. Then try restart it again?

On a 2nd thought, it could be Steam's updating stuffs. The cloud server seemed to be down. And that effects the login of the game.

are the servers still down? Because nothing work and the problem persist from yesterday :/

It's up for me here. You can actually change your download source in the Steam setting to get around this problem asap.

Click "Steam" on top left of the screen >> Select "Settings" >> Then select the "Downloads" tab >> Change the "Download Region" to somewhere else, restart steam and start the game again.

You should be able to log into the game once that part is done. If not, then it might not be a Steam problem but some other problems like your firewall setting or antivirus setting that blocks the game from connecting to the internet.

unfortunately it didn't work, and i did try puting honkai and steam on unrestricked appkication list and even switched off the firewall
also, i did try downloading standalone honaki client and it did worked as intented. Unfortunately as fas as i read i can't use it to play on my steam login :/

The only difference between the two is the login server and the anti-cheat system. It's weird that only Steam version isn't working for you. Especially if it's regional block both shouldn't work. You might need to be more specific on stuffs like o/s or such. Hi3rd doesn't work on Linux due to anti-cheat.

My system is Windows 10 PRO and it did work before, i don't know why it stopped working. Also i did try running steam honkai on laptop and it did work there, so the problem seems to be only with my computer, i also did try asking the help of honkai global, but for now nothing seems to work

Oh, for win10 it's the update that crashes with the anti-cheat. You either need to remove a previous update or try install the newest update.
