Cant log in to the game
I have tried multiple times to log in but when I do poof the game closes. No error message. Nothing. I checked and my computer spec are fine.

Can someone explain why this is happening?

Before anyone can "explain" what happened to you in detail, you first need to give detailed information from your side. Which includes: Did the same issue happened before? What have you done recently to cause this? What's your pc spec? Any hook-up software (including mouse/keyboard/controller 3rd party assistant) you are using that might let the game detects as cheating? Are you running steam in admin? Are you running the game in admin? You are already at the login screen or the game closes before even starting? If you are at the login screen which server did you select? Is your internet connection stable? etc etc...

This issue has happened before too. about 2 month ago I had tried to open the game and everything seemed to to be fine. All the downloads were done. But when you have to ''Tap anywhere to enter the game'' it closes. I just gave up and quit the game. Now I am back and the problem is still here.

I have a wireless mouse that is it.

Steam is running in admin and so is the game.

I did not get a choice to choose which server. It goes straight to ''Tap anywhere...''

My internet is stable.

PC specs:
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 4600H
Installed RAM 8.00 GB
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
DirectX 12
Network: Broadband Internet connection
I have more than 120 GB free

You mean you had the same issues when you play the game for the 1st time 2 months ago, but couldn't find a way to fix it and left the game installed all that time and it never worked once? And now you are back using that same installed game and it's showing the same problem? Or did the game worked before and you left it for awhile and came back 2 months ago to find it not connecting anymore? Have you tried re-install the game in between that time?

You said the game closes itself after the "Tap anywhere" screen, but also said you don't get an option for server choosing which is right at the top right corner of that same screen seems weird to me. Something isn't right there. Did the game download and loads the setting updates properly? Did it actually connects to the server? Did it shows "Welcome, [your name]" above that Tap anywhere message?

The problem seems similar to an out-dated game launcher where the address of the server is changed but we are still using the old launcher and it could not find the correct connection address to update itself. Try uninstall the reinstall the game and see if that works?

miHoYo did undergo a publisher and HQ change from China based to Singapore based where the new company Cognosphere is acting as their new global HQ and they've moved their server data over. So there's a chance that a long hiatus player that never uninstall the game can came back and got hit with a unresponsive launcher that still tries to connect to the old address.

If that's not the case, then it could be the game is having trouble getting your steam info, which can be a problem on Steam's side instead. You can try go to Steam setting and change your download country there, it actually helps in some online game connection problem from my past experience. Also in this case, the "Welcome [your name]" message should be missing. And an "Authentication Failed" message should appear.

As far as i can tell beyond that tab anywhere to enter page, is the actual game lobby that shows you the game's bridge and your valkyrie. But your login process is done before that, right on that Tab to enter page. So if the login part is done correctly, it should show the welcome message. And what's stopping the game after that could only be hardware or driver conflict problem from there on. But judging from your specs, it should be fine?

Edit: i almost forgot about the basic, make sure to check your firewall too.

I didn't leave it installed. I uninstalled the game and now installed it again.
I will check the firewall too.

Hopefully it's the firewall, because it's the easiest to fix. :3:

The difference is whether you are already logged in when you tab to enter the game. If you aren't logged in and firewall isn't blocking the game, you can try change steam download location tactic and see it if works. If it's already logged in, then it has something to do with hardward/driver confliction. In that case you might need to open a support ticket at Hoyolab and ask them about it which might require information like crash log and memory dump. Bear in mind that they recently moved Hoyolab from China to Singapore as well so their customer service department is still in a big mess (as far as i can tell, they just hired a bunch of new staffs for their Singapore based Hoyolab so most are still trainee), might take some time before someone will reply though.

i just installed the game but it wont let me log in. it just keep telling me to choose login method but there is no option to choose just the elevator animation where when you just logged in to the game

Try this:
Click "Steam" on top left of the screen >> Select "Settings" >> Then select the "Downloads" tab >> Change the "Download Region" to somewhere else, restart steam and start the game again.
