Unifairy.sys issue

Can't even start the game, every time i open it, my pc gets a bluescreen with "unifairy.sys" being the problem, i've searched por resolutions for that problem but have found none

Logically, it should. Since BSOD caused by the anticheat driver. But if you do not have a full-fledged driver, then there will be no BSOD.

Can confirm that running steam without admin avoids the blue screen, however now I get another error about nothing being able to update the game because the app is already running. What a ♥♥♥♥ show

Right click the shortcut to steam > properties > shortcut tab > advanced and untick run as admin

nah doesn't work, still having bsod.

I think the problem because I'm running on Japanese server instead of Global. And probably the patch only works on Global. Now i'm here stuck with jp version of HI3 >_>

I see, you are playing the Steam JP version.

The patch should work with JP, seeing as it also works with SEA.

Regardless, if nothing else is working, try disabling the overlay by right clicking the game>properties>disable overlay and disabling/unplugging all controllers.

The game used to crash with overlay before Steam, perhaps they haven't patched it fully.

naa it doesn't work.

ironically, non steam version works flawlessly.

I guess i'll just have to wait until they fully fix Steam version

Anyways, for context the game would always crash if ran through Steam, even if it was a non-steam added game. It's a persistent problem

I tried 3 times, 3 hard crashes on startup. Uninstalled and removed from account. I won't try this again, not even if they pay me.

I think I found a solution
you need to turn off Steam and run Honkai Impact using .exe
and just wait for Steam to start itself
for some reason it doesn't cause BSOD

Yeah everything is not working for me and turning off *Run as an Admin* is a good idea but not for me since Steam client service will go nuts if i do that. Gosh what a messy conflict i dont want to reinstall steam and everything just for this game.
