I use interior wood floors in two-story bases with stone walls, roofs and support pillars and they work just fine. Regular wood stairs because I'm not spending tech points on various flavors of stairs multiple times. Haven't tried interior wood walls since I don't build big enough for interior walls of any material to do anything but be a pain in my butt.

What's the problem?

Strange I am using the large foundations and the interior wood floor sits under the stone. I even thought it might be a height thing so pressed (end) to try to realign it to no avail.

Foundations are strange. With the exception of the fireplace, you don't need to put floors on them at all. The devs seemed surprised folks would see a level, flat surface and consider that floor enough but when I begrudgingly put stone floors on a stone foundation to facilitate a fireplace, found the same alignment issue where they seemed to sit too low and in the foundation.

That was like beta 2 though. I haven't tried since then. Now my big house uses beams instead of foundations, maybe with skirting on the bottom to keep wolves out while my mobile survival shack foregoes floors in favor of foundation. Pretty sad they haven't fixed that yet given they seem so set on folks putting floors on foundations.

I'd write that up on their bug tracker site if it's not already on there. They really need to fix that. I dunno if cement has the same issue or not, I've never tried putting a floor on one of those either but I see little reason for optimism.

I have never used foundations just pillars with floors. Worked fine for me every BW.
