Besides that, it is honestly extremely vague where the personality of Lebsa even comes from and how she was created. As stated in the (rewritten) ending, she has inherited Asbell's will/avarice from Asbell himself, who kidnapped your sister at the beginning of the game to find a way to cheat death and become immortal.
The issue with that, however, is that Asbell did not manage to take control of your sister's body in the current iteration of the game's story and is actually very much dead.
So... who exactly is Lebsa? Is she only the feelings of greed and megalomania of Asbell? That honestly does not fit with how she acts throughout most of the game. If she were born from these negative feelings alone, then I doubt she could act as pleasantly and normally as she does for most of the game. Did Asbell create a whole new personality when he tried to take over your sister's body (and failed)? Was it his plan all along, or a happy coincidence that she turned out to follow the same goal as him? But does that even matter anymore since he, again, is very much dead and therefore will not have a part in Lebsa's immortality?
I feel like the rewrite the game went through after release created multiple plot holes which the writing team did not manage to fix or did not know how to fix, as it was never planned that way to begin with.
From my research, the ending and revelation of Lebsa/Asbell were rewritten due to complaints from people who wanted to have a romance ending with Lebsa, which wasn't possible in the original game were Lebsa is Asbell, and he simply manipulated everything from the start while masquerading in your sister's body.
Not arguing with you (because the story is a mess), but it really makes no sense. In the true ending Lebsa states the original owner of the body is Rose's sister. She (he?) then says Asbel then occupied the sister's body with dark magic. Occupying the body doesn't create a new soul but Lebsa's actions in the game suggests it sort of does? What confuses me the most is that when Lebsa's true nature is revealed she (he?) states that she/he are still not used to being called Lebsa "after all these years" and then follows up by saying she has no memory, personality, or trace of Absel in her. So is she:
1. Actually Asbel in our sister's body, therefore being essentially incest
2. Is our sister but evil with the remnant of Asbel's evil ambitions due to his failed attempts of taking over the body. This just 100% makes this incest.
3. Created some weird merger of his soul and sister's, which created a whole new being that is Lebsa. Not incest!!! (but why would she say she's not use to being called Lebsa?)
我最后把语言改成中文可是。。。还是不明白故事是在说什么
Oops. Tried to use the blur thing, guess it didn't work.
