Meaning of Darkness

Began playing the game, and noticed the "Darkness" stat. What does this mean for the character?

Darkness is when you do some actions, mainly private works in the bath. Increase too much the darkness will lock some conversation, but will open other options, and also can unlock different endings than with low/0 darkness.

In that note, you can lower the darkness speaking with papa, through some activities, or when you unlock that option, praying in the church.

Yeah, I ended up figuring that out a bit later when the game explained it to me. Once I saw that I could decrease the darkness, wasn't worried about it too much
