Graphics Driver Crash

I cannot even launch AOW4. The Paradox launcher starts fine, but when I hit play, the game doesn't even start. It just crashes.

I have uninstalled & reinstalled twice, backed up my graphics driver, updated my motherboard chipset drivers, and uninstalled One Drive (and still can't find the config folder to try to change graphics settings). Nothing works.

I've sent a few crash reports.

My system:

ASRock B650M PG
128 GB DDR5 RAM
Windows 11 Home version 24H2
Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU
Graphics Card - AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT

YEAH i am also having this problem with no fix in sight. i crash with this error every 15-30 minutes. i love this game but it is impossible to play with these crashes. PLEASE FIX

HEY i tried something and so far i have been playing for hours and i havent gotten the error. i switched the game files from my HDD to my internal SSD and it works fine now. try that and see if it helps. and make sure it is an SSD some people put HDDs in their computer like weirdos

Thanks, but my issue is different than yours. I can't even start the game, let alone play for a while before a crash.

I already have this installed on an SSD.

Just out of curiosity - I have two different machines I play Steam games on - one is my home PC (specs in original post), and the other is a laptop that I take on the road when I travel for work. The laptop works fine with AOW4, but I'm wondering if the graphics settings for the game are stored in some central location and are being used for both systems.

Is this true?

Similar problem for me. Works perfect on home pc, but crash on start on laptop. I tried via launcher and aow.exe and nothing works.

Drivers up to date and specs fully supported. I use and intel and window 11 too (with and nvidia 4070).
