3080 TI, I9-12900KF massive performance problems

I dont understand what i am doing wrong.

Am i the only one having massive stutters when moving the camera around?
My GPU is running heavy on the world map, even with 60 fps cap on.

The game is basically unplayable for me.

I've Ryzen 5 3600X and RTX 3060 and I've the same problem on any map with a lot of objects. 40 and less fps in combats on forest tactical maps. GPU is underloaded and there's no difference between minimal and ultra settings. The game has serious problems with CPU optimiztion since there's nothing which can not run on any 4 core processor. AoW PF works great on i5-2500K.

Yeah I have a 3080 TI and 12700k, in a battle right now of a campaign that just BSOD me constantly. Don't even want to bother with the game if it's forcing my machine to fail internally given 1000s of hours in a variety of games never causing a BSOD. Something is horribly wrong somewhere because during a battle I only get ~80% usage out of my GPU with settings maxed and framerate uncapped, leading to 40 fps. I see a lot of posters with problems having a 3080 series card.

I'm ultrawide as well and I'm curious if that is the issue given they didn't bother to implement traditional resolution selectors and a locked in fullscreen mode.

I have a 4090, and this is the only game where 2 of the 3 fans come on for a game (1 fan was the max until now). Even crazier, the fans never stop going even when I exit the game; exit steam; waiting for an hour; removing the side pannel. I have to reboot to make them stop.

Turning everything down in settings to medium (including sync to 50%) finally made is so no fans come on, but come on, it's a 4090 and should not be doing this.

Get hard reboots as well.

My performance isn't bad I just get random resets of my system. Only game that's ever done that and I've been gaming awhile.

I just want to update this thread. The beta patch fixers my main stutter problems. Still doesn't run perfect, but atleast it doesnt look like the game is having a ´panick attack.

Yeah i have the same stutter problem as well and interesting thing is lowering graphic settings doesn't affect fps at all.Especially when 18 vs 18 combat game almost drop below 30 fps sometimes which is irritating.And the patch didn't change anything at all.

No problems with performance, but the constant crashing makes it unplayable.

3080 with a 13900K and i crash every turn, seems like newer hardware are experiencing most of the crashing.

Just chiming in you guys aren't alone, 2060 super amd 3600 and constant crashing in battles with multiple armies. Does ok with a 1v1 army, but multiples drop the FPS and constant CTD. Changing the graphics settings from Ultra to Low has -no- impact on the FPS.

I capped the game @60fps, because thats enough for a game like this. When scrolling the strategic map i get stuttering and fps drops below 50. Some battle maps are also performing badly.

I'm not happy with the performance and the game feels very choppy. Not really fun to play at the moment.
