if you want to know more than you can read the dev diary on the fuedal rework, ill add the link to it.
source [forum.paradoxplaza.com]
The source being the devs themselves, in the most recent dev dairy(#41);
even though it is stated in the encyclopedia that you can, somehow, get defenders with that attribute. am i doing something wrong? my archers seem to correctly have the aspirant longbow.
This as both subcultures get different Aspirant lines respectfully.
Monarch: Unique aspiring Archer unit that aspires into unique Longbow unit.
Aristocracy: Unique aspiring Defender unit that aspires into unique Liege Guard unit.
Which is why there's two Encyclopedia entries for both Archers and Defenders. :)
Edit: Note there's no actual difference between Aspring and Default Archer/Defender units. Just whether or not they have the Apiring trait.
