Absolutely unacceptable bug

This is the second time in a few games where I have run into the AI hanging and crashing the game on a piece of bugged AI combat. I really enjoy this game but losing a 100 turn game when an AI on the other side of the map fights each other is unacceptable. This is my second game out of maybe 7 that I've had to scrap because for some reason some form of combat gets bugged and crashes the game and I have no way to prevent this. The mods really need to work on this ASAP noone likes playing a game for so long only for it to break.

If it's the one I think it is that won't work. The only workaround is preventing the AI from entering the bugged structure (a ruin in the umbral abyss) and that requires either going back numerous turns or using cheats to move your stacks there in a single turn. And since using the in-game cheats blocks you from getting any pantheon rewards for the map...

you can get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mad, make a scene and complain about it to me instead of sending them your save, but I don't care. I haven't even played a 100 turn game yet.

Same here. Some saves don't get passed the bug. I've reported it and sent my game information. That's about all we can do right now.

it's a ruin in the umbral abyss? as much as it sucks to do maybe the solution for now is just do no umbral or low umbral till they fix it. I'm sure by the next dlc they'll....oh wait >.<

it is the "syron keep ruin" (or something like that), a bronze wonder in the umbral abyss that sometimes spawn there.

Yes, I had to turn off the full umbral layer because of this umbral keep crashmaker. Oddly, it made my umbral insect achievement quite easy. If you start with gloom and the other players can't trade for the adaptation, then you have a giant defense and offense bonus.

Haven't encountered that bug yet but that's probably because I don't have any of the expansions yet.. Anyway please send your saves to devs, report any bugs on the official site. Annoy them enough and it will get fixed. The dev record may not be stellar but it's also not horrible either.

The dev record may not be stellar? It sure looks like you bake tarts from air.

The support of the devs is what you would expect from any dev that cares about their game. I have been on the forums for 2 years now and they ALWAYS look at EVERY report and either confirm it, ask for more info, or note it as designed.

Next time you fake something, do it in your private quarters.

This bug have been reported many times since 1-2 months, it is well known now. Alas the devs do not consider it worth enough a hotfix / beta patch. Considering it is litteraly a game breaking one with no workaround possible, it is particularly infuriating.

Trade adaptation?

If you're evil-aligned you can ally with umbral dwellings. Once they like you enough, you get access to the Eldritch Flesh transformation spell. This not only makes your race immune to gloom, it also gives you significant bonuses for being in gloom terrain. And since unlike the researchable Gloom Strider it's a minor transformation you can still get a major transformation on top of it...
