Specs first before you make a post about performance.
It does sound like a heat issue. For comparison, I'm running an i5, 6600xt, 16G memory, SD card, win11 and the game runs smooth on default High setting. Eats about 70% of CPU and GPU resources and GPU temp is steady at 65-70 degrees.
I had my temperature overlay on at the time and all temperatures were normal which suprised me as that was the first thing that came to mind. I limited the maximum framerate for the game to 60 fps before this crash occured which makes a temperature issues even more unlikely.
I decided to do some thorough testing but all of my componoments passed testing with flying colours. No signs of overheating or any other errors. I've played other games since then for multiple hours without any issues. I'm at a loss as to what is causing this and I've already seen multiple posts where users reported that this game causes their systems to reboot.
They do seem to very aware of the crashing issues at the moment so I'm hopeful that these severe crashes are at the top of the list. I'm not sure what it could be other then the game itself. Hopefully this will be fixed soon as the game itself is amazing.

That's around my spec so it definitely shouldn't tax your machine. Do you have any real-time temperature monitoring overlay so you can see your temp while playing? I know AMD's Adrenaline enhanced sync messes with the game a bit and will really tax the GPU during the faction setup menus and turning it off fixes the issue. Maybe something in the GeForce setup is similar?
Weird one. Your specs look ok so I would have said Temps too, with the warmer weather, but you say it doesn't happen on any other game? Are you sure?
Test another game for a while and see if your pc also shuts down.
But if both temps are in spec, then it's something else going on. Are you running the hotfix branch?
