Guys, is there a hot-seat mode?
I'm going to buy the game next month, for now testing it in... another, a bit illegal way. But my questions are:
1) Is there a hot-seat mode behind the log-in menu?
2) Are there any plans to introduce the Remote Play support, like it is in 3rd AoW?
3) Is there a roadmap from developers anywhere?

1. yes

2. there is, enjoy

3. no idea

hotseat -> custom realm -> advanced settings -> factions -> set two factions or more as human players -> you get hotseat game

remote play = up to four players

Thank you so much! These are awesome news :D
The absence of these things on the main page of AoW 4 confused me, but now it's clear...

I can absolutely relate. That is why I try to make that kind of information more accessible here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2971154168
In regards of roadmap I only know they have the estimated release times for their expansion pack content. Other than that I recommend keeping an eye on the dev diary which are always quite good with Paradox games.

For hot seat mode with remote play you have to remember to enable the Mouse and Keyboard controllers for other players. And aside from doing this: "hotseat -> custom realm -> advanced settings -> factions -> set two factions or more as human players -> you get hotseat game", you may also need to specify which rulers to use for the extra human players since it only lets you assign one when starting a realm.

Figured it out allready, but thank you for the attention and additions anyway. Now the last challenge for me is to convince my brothers or wife to join me or even to buy the game for further cooperations :D
I was really surprised and impressed by new progression mechanics, spellbooks system and transformations etc.
They've made the gameplay much more diverse in comparison to AoW 3, as far as I can see. And that's amazing!
